How to speak English fluently

How To Speak English Fluently

If you ever visit a book store you will find a lot of books related to improving spoken English. The authors of the books claim if you purchased their books you will be able to speak English fluently in a few days. I would recommend you if you find such kind of books never purchase them . To speak English fluently one needs constant practice and proper guidance.

How can you improve your spoken language while reading something? To amend your spoken English you need to listen and understand how the words are pronounced, where they are stressed , where they are not, when to rise your voice and when not, all this comes with exercise and listening to a variety of English.

To improve your communicating skills, you need to be really good at grammar. Grammar is something which gives you confidence. the first step is not to speak fluently but to know how to speak properly. If you are sure when you are about to say is grammatically right, it will give you great confidence and only then you will be able to speak fluently but if you are not sure of what you are saying, definitely you will feel great hesitation and lack of confidence, ultimately poor fluency.

If you think your grammar is not good, start working on it right now. Get yourself a good grammar book. There are many grammar books available at bookstores. Try to get on with authentic information about English Grammar, like books published by Oxford University Press and Prentice Hall Publishers. Don't worry, learning grammar is not difficult and please don't try to learn everything in just one day, nobody can do that. Grammar needs time and consistency. Learn a topic a day and practise it. You can find great grammar lessons on my website www.atozofenglish.com . And if you think that you know grammar really very well then you are ready to impress people with your oral English.

Tell me if you want to improve your handwriting what would you do? Read a book or get a pen and start practicing? Definitely you would go for writing practice. Likewise, if you want to improve your spoken English, you NEED TO SPEAK. You need to speak as far as possible. Speak to your family members in English, motivate them and in this way, they too can improve their English. You can talk in English with your siblings, if they also go to school or  college or want to improve their spoken English. It's going to be a great fun and in such way you are going to create an English speaking environment in your home.

If creating an English speaking environment seems almost impossible to be created at home. Don't worry, there are many other methods. Join an  English language centre and regularly take conversation classes. There you will have a complete English speaking environment, you can make new friends and have a good company. You can converse with them freely. You will feel no shame because almost all of the students will be of the same level. Your conversation teacher will assist you and give you guidelines to improve your spoken English.

LISTENING TO A VARIETY OF ENGLISH is also another great way of improving your spoken English. If the input is right, the output is right. Try to pay attention to how a native speaker pronounces a word and then try to do the same. Try to remember phrases, idioms and other everyday expressions and use them in your spoken English. It will bring a significant change to your spoken English. You will feel more confident and will speak more fluently.

PRONUNCIATION is also a very important part of English language. Students often neglect the importance of pronunciation. You may find many people speaking English fluently, but their pronunciation of words is sometimes really awful. Here rises a question, how to improve pronunciation? Some students try to remember pronunciation by the spelling of a word. Let me tell you clearly that you can never learn (figure out) pronunciation of any word of English just by looking at its spelling. Spelling is not a good guide to correct  pronunciation. The only way to learn pronunciation of a word is by learning Phonemic Symbols. Phonemic Symbols represent sounds of English. There are 26 letters in English language but 44 sounds. To learn Phonemic Symbols please visit Phonemic Chart.

There may be other ways to make your spoken English better but the only thing which is going to improve your English language is working hard and practice. I hope you will find these tips helpful and apply in your life to improve your spoken English.
